Hi, how many minutes can you do this stretch?, i don't know how long is better, i don't want to get worse by doing too much
Hi @beli156, Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, I can't give specific advice without performing a physical examination. As a general guideline, you can start with holding each stretch for 10-15 seconds. However, it's crucial to consult with a healthcare professional to ensure these exercises are appropriate for your specific case. Best regards, Dr. Brian Abelson, DC

Ok
Hello @sls554, thanks for watching! Nerve flossing is indeed a fascinating topic, and I was initially surprised by the substantial scientific evidence supporting its benefits. Research has shown that nerve flossing can help reduce pain and improve mobility in conditions like sciatica and carpal tunnel syndrome by mobilizing and stretching nerves that may be compressed or stuck. It's great to see how many peer-reviewed studies support these findings. Dr. Brian Abelson DC

Hello @beverleywolstenholme5131, thanks for watching! Unfortunately, I cannot give advice or comment on specific cases without performing a physical examination. That being said, it's possible that numbness and tightness after a knee replacement could be related to nerve issues. However, I recommend consulting with a healthcare professional who can assess your specific condition in person. Dr. Brian Abelson DC

Could opening the condyle downwards a little too much while doing this manipulation cause any damage to our jaw?
Hello @cihansei, thank you for your insightful question and for watching the video. You bring up an important point about the potential risks of jaw manipulation. The video you are watching is a demonstration intended for educational purposes. It's important to note that these procedures should only be performed by qualified Motion Specific Release (MSR) practitioners and not by the general public. Proper training and understanding of the jaw's biomechanics are crucial to avoid any harm. In our practice, we emphasize the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration. We often treat Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) patients in collaboration with their dentists, following their recommendations closely. Depending on the individual case, we may focus solely on the soft tissue or include joint mobilization. Each treatment plan is customized based on a comprehensive examination to determine the most appropriate approach for the patient. Regarding your specific question about the condyle: excessive downward manipulation of the condyle can indeed pose a risk of damaging the jaw. This is why it is crucial that such techniques are performed by trained professionals who can ensure the safety and effectiveness of the procedure. Thank you for raising this important point, and I hope this clarifies your concerns. Best regards, Dr. Brian Abelson DC

Hello, thanks for watching. Unfortunately, I cannot provide advice or comment on specific cases without performing a physical examination. However, in general, when using the half somersault maneuver for BPPV, you can determine which ear is affected based on which side produces vertigo symptoms when the maneuver is performed. If you experience vertigo when your head is turned to the right, it suggests the right ear is affected, and if vertigo occurs when turning to the left, it suggests the left ear is affected. Always consult with a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis.
